“ This is where we had our first breakfast in Hawaii. We chose Hawaiian Benedict! It was delicious but the prices here are not for the faint of heart great service tho our waitress was very helpful with telling us about what to do and where to go! This is a nice place right on the beach! ”
“ We stayed at the HHV which Tropics is one of the restaurants. It's right on the corner of the beach and "main drag" of HHV. Just wide and I so we were offered a seat at the bar to avoid a 20 minute wait. We were promptly greeted with menus when we sat at the bar. I ordered a village mai tai and my wife had the mango piña colada. For dinner I had the 1/2 chicken. Huge portion served on top of fried potatoes- not fries tho. My wife had the burger! I had a bite and it was also very delicious. Good vibe and atmosphere at Tropics. Be prepared for pretty high prices for dinner. HI prices are already high and add resort premium. Overall good experience ”

“ We stopped in today because we had hotel credit and couldn't have left happier. The highlights were the Ahi Poke Nachos and steamed Mussels. The nachos had a nice sized portion of Ahi and were covered with a spicy mayo and sweet eel sauce. The chips were rice paper chips and a nice change from the traditional wonton shell of tortilla chip. The highlight of the meal were the steamed mussels. We ordered them without the sausage. They were amazing! The broth was bursting with garlic, ginger and Thai basil. A new personal favorite flavor combination for mussels. It comes with two pieces of nicely toasted bread but we ended up asking for a spoon cause we just couldn't get enough of the broth!!! Tropics is also located on the beach so we ended up ordering a local Kona beer on tap and enjoyed the sunset. The service was also fantastic. Our waiter refilled our waters 4 times and recommended the chocolate cake to end the night. If you're staying on the Hilton property this is a great option to grab a drink, enjoy the beach vibe or enjoy some tasty seafood. ”
“ his review is from when I visited here during my trip to Hawaii in February 2024. After my boyfriend and I strolled along the beach and shopped at the shops at Hilton Hawaiian Village, we stopped at this restaurant for a break and lunch. The restaurant was in a great location right in front of the beach. However, I saw several people trying to enter the restaurant in their swimsuits and being turned away. If you wear a swimsuit, a cover-up is required. I ordered Ahi poke salad because I don't eat enough vegetables when I travel. It was delicious but the portion was huge, and the ahi had spicy seasoning on and was quite spicy. It was $31 and I felt a little pricy but it's normal at the hotel restaurants. And there was a lot of pickled ginger on top of the salad, which was good because I like ginger, but it was interesting. The service was excellent and all the waiters were kind. ”
